This plugin is an add-on for bbPress Notify (No-Spam) that allows users to receive email digests daily, weekly, or monthly.

bbPress Notify (No-Spam) Digests

bbPress Notify (No-Spam), aka bbPNNS is a powerful notification plugin designed to send out alerts to all users belonging to selected roles. By default, however, it does not come with support for sending out email digests to its users.

Email Digests

This add-on lets your users specify whether they want to receive messages daily, weekly, or monthly. Newly created topics are enqueued in a special table and read by 3 wp-cron jobs that run at those intervals to do the notification.

As of version 1.2, links to topics and replies residing in Private or Hidden forums will force the user to log in if not yet logged in.

Dependencies

This add-on requires bbPress Notify (No-Spam) version 1.9.1 or greater to work properly.

Buddy/MemberPress

Using BuddyPress? Then you’ll also need our bbPNNS/BuddyPress Bridge. This is because BuddyPress restricts users from accessing WP and bbPress profile screens, keeping your visitors from changing their preferences.

MemberPress does the same thing, so be sure to pick up our bbPNNS/MemberPress Bridge add-on.
