Digest Setting now showing by default

I am using your Digest, BuddyPress, and Reply by email plugins. I recently discovered my issue, but it may have been happening for a while.

Basically the Digest Settings, where you can set the frequency and type, are not showing under the profile until you edit the profile and save it. Once you do that, everything works, which is probably how I missed it. new members cannot see the setting until they edit and save.

I have it set to use the BuddyPress Extended profile. If I turn that off, members cannot change the digest type.

Am I missing a setting?

Hi Dan,

Your bbpnns settings probably didn’t have one of Roles or Override Subscriptions enabled. This means that the plugin is effectively disabled, and therefore the digest settings don’t get displayed. If this is not the case, please send me the information from the bbpnns support tab via email so that I can try to replicate the issue and provide a fix.

This happens because BuddyPress hijacks the bbPress profile screen in favor of its own. It is the reason why I added integration with the Extended profile. If you weren’t using BuddyPress, you’d find the settings under the user profile screen that comes with bbPress.

I think I have it set right with overrides. Enclosed is a screenshot of my settings. Does this look right? Or is it something else?
