BbPress Notify (No-Spam) – Reply By Email – topics closing when email reply

On about the 2 or 3rd email reply to a new discussion/topic the discussion/topic will auto close when the reply is being processed (Can see the timing in the logs). It presents the following message: This discussion is marked as closed to new replies, however your posting capabilities still allow you to do so.

I am able to manually reopen the topic/discussion and continue with replies and email replies, but eventually it closes again. Any help is much appreciated.
